ORDINANCE NO 211
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADDING
SECTIONS 7105 AND 7106 TO THE BALDWIN
PARK MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE THAT
CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDE-
WALKS AND STREET PAVEMENT WITHIN THE
PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY SHALL BE DONE BY
A LICENSED CONTRACTOR ONLY
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. The Baldwin Park Municipal Code is
hereby amended by adding thereto Sections 7105 and 7106
to read as follows:
7105. Construction in Public Right-of-way,
No person shall construct or attempt to construct
any curb, gutter, sidewalk or street pavement within a
public right-of-way unless such person holds a valid
existing contractor's license issued by the State of Cali-
fornia in a classification covering such work.
7106. Proof of License.
Prior to issuance of a public works permit for
installation of any curb, gutter, sidewalk or street pave-
ment, the Director of Public Works shall require from the
person to do the work proof of the license required by
Section 7105.
Section 2. Except as herein amended the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code shall remain unchanged and in full
force and effect.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
as required by law. This ordinance shall become effective
thirty days after the date of its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor
and attested by the City Clerk this 2nd ay of July 1962.
