AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING
THE BUILDING CODE BY RENUMBERING SECTION
8110.1 TO 811.0.5 AND ADDING NEW SECTION
8110.1 PERTAINING TO BUILDING PERMITS
AND THE ISSUANCE THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 302(a) of the Building Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
8110.1. Issuance: The application, plans and
specifications filed by an applicant for a building permit
shall be checked by the building official and other depart-
ments of the City to insure compliance with the laws and
ordinances under their jurisdiction. If the application,
plans, specifications or boundary lines of the property or
any of them, do not comply with all laws and City ordinances,
including but not limited to subdivision, lot split and zoning
ordinances, the building official shall refuse tyre issuance
of a building permit until substantial compliance by the ap-
plicant with all such laws and City ordinances. If the build-
ing official is satisfied that the work described in an appli-
cation for permit, the plans and specifications therewith and
the boundary lines of the property comply with the requirements
of this code and the other pertinent laws and ordinances as
above stated, and that the fee specified in Section 302(a) has
been paid, he shall issue a permit therefor to the applicant.
Section 2. Except as hereinabove amended, the Building
Code of the City of Baldwin Park shall remain in full force and
effect.
Section 3. The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and
the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage, adoption
and publication thereof and shall cause the same to be published
as required by law. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty
30) days after the date of its adoption.
