AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK REPEALING AND RESCINDING SEC-
TIONS 2922 THROUGH 2928, INCLUSIVE OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, AND ADDING TO
SAID CODE SECTIONS 2950, 2951 AND 2952 AS
CHAPTER 10 OF ARTICLE I OF SAID CODE, ALL
RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Sections 2922 through 2928, inclusive,
of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code are hereby repealed and re-
scinded.
SECTION 2. That Chapter
ZO of ARTICLE I of the Bald-
win Park Municipal Code, consisting of Sections 2950, 2951 and
2952 are hereby added to the Baldwin Park Municipal Code to read
respectively as follows:
2950. Department of Finance. The Department of
Finance for the city of Baldwin Park is hereby cre-
ated and established. Said Department shall main-
tain and supervise a general accounting system for
each of the offices, departments and agencies of the
City."
2951. Same. Director of Finance. The office of
Director of Finance for the City of Baldwin Park is
hereby created and established.
a) Appointment. The Director of Finance shall
be appointed by the Chief Administrative
Officer with the approval of the City Council.
b) Compensation. Compensation for the office
of Director of Finance shall be established
by the City Council by resolution.
c) Bond. The Director of Finance shall furnish
to the City a corporate surety bond in the sum
of $25,000.00 conditioned upon the faithful
performance of the duties imposed upon said
office. Premium for said bond shall be a
proper charge against the City."
112952. Same. Duties of. The Director of Finance
shall perform the following duties:
a) Be the department head for the Department
of Finance.
b) Prepare, under the supervision of the Chief
Administrative Officer, the budget xnd expense
and income estimates for the City.
c) Supervise and be responsible for the dis-
bursement of all funds under the control
of the City.
d) Audit and approve prior to payment all
bills, invoices and claims against the City.
e) Supervise and maintain current inventories
of all City property.

duties heretofore imposed upon the office
of City Clerk, p,irsuant to Section 40802,
et seq. of the Government Code of the State
of California.
g) Perform such other duties as may be pre-
scribed by the Chief Administrative Officer
and the City Council.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be posted in
the manner prescribed by law.
