AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION TO, INCORPORATING IN AND MAKING
A PART OF SAID CITY, CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY OUTSIDE THE SAID CITY AND
CONTIGUOUS THERETO, KNOWN AS liNNEXiMON
NO. 15.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAI14 AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City o£ Baldwin
Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows!
a) That under, pursuant to, and in accordance with,
the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939," as amended, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park, in due course, on its own motion, initiated pro-
ceedings for the annexation to the said City of uninhabited
territory hereinafter described; and
b) That prior to the initiation by the City Council
of said City of the proceedings for the annexation of said
territory to the City of Baldwin Park, the same was submitted
to and reported upon favorably by the Boundary Commission of
Los Angeles County with respect to the definiteness and
certainty of the proposed boundaries of said territory; and
c) That thereafter the City Council did, at a
regular meeting thereof, on June 5, 1963, duly adopt Resolution.
loo. 63-71, initiating said proceedings and giving notice of
the proposed annexation, which resolution specifically describe
the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to
the City of Baldwin Park, and designating the same as
Annexation No. 15;°° and
d) That said resolution was duly published in
accordance with law, which said resolution contained a notice.
of the day, hour and place when and where, the City Council
would hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed, and said
publications were completed twenty 20) days prior to the
date of such hearing; and
e) That the City Clerk did, not less than twenty
20) days before the public hearing on the proposed annexation,
cause a written notice, in accordance with the provisions of
the Government Code, of said proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to
be annexed is assessed on the last preceding equalized County
Assessment Roll available on the date the proceedings were
initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll; and

Park set such hearing for a date not less than forty 40)
days nor more than sixty 60) days from the date of the
adoption of such resolution, to wit: for 8:00 o'clock P.M.
on July 17, 1963, before said City Council at the City Hall,
Baldwin Park, California; and
g) That at the time set aforesaid, to wit, July 17,
1963, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. of said day, said matter duly
came before said City Council at a regular meeting thereof
for hearing; and
h) That protests having been filed, thereafter
the said hearing was closed, the City Council duly adopted
Resolution Wo. 63-99, finding and determining that a majority
protest had not beer. made; and
i) That the property and territory hereinafter
specifically describe3, is contiguous to the corporate limits
of the City of Baldwin Park and is uninhabited within the
meaning of the Annexatior, of Uninhabited Territory Act of
1939.'
SECTIOR 2. That the annexation. to the City of
Baldwin Park of the territory hereinafter described, which
territory was designated in the resolution and notice of
said City Council as Annexation No. 15` be, and the same
hereby is approved, and that the following described property
be, and the same is hereby annexed to, incorporated in, and
made a part of the City of Baldwin Park, to wit:
Beginning at an angle point in the westerly boundary
of the City of Baldwin Park, as said boundary existed
on April 13, 1963, said angle point being also an
angle point in the northerlyline of the land conveyed
to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District,
500 feet wide at this point) in Parcel 116 in a
Final Order of Condemnation had in Superior Court
Case No. 525315, a certified copy of which is recorded
in Book 51842, page 354, of Official Records in the
office of the Recorder of said County, and which angle
point if further shown as being in the easterly
prolongation of the southerly line of Lot 25 of Tract
No. 26572, as per map recorded in Book 673, pages 95
and 96 of Maps, in the office of said Recorder, distant
therein, easterly 104.84 feet from the southeasterly
corner of said Lot 25; thence South 7° 52' 21" East
along said westerly boundary of the City of Baldwin
Park 97.92 feet; more or less to a line which bears
South 87° 37' 24" West from the westerly terminus of
a line which in turn, bears North 88' 16' 56" West
299.59 feet from a point in the center line of Baldwin
Park Boulevard, 60 feet wide, shown as Covina Street
on map of Tract No. 718 recorded in Book 17, page 17 of
said maps, distant therein, North 38° 29' 34" East 555.97
feet from a monument set by the Surveyor of said County

Right-of-Way Map filed in the office of the County
Engineer of said County as County Surveyor's Filed Map
No. 12407-4, for the location of the intersection of
said center line of Baldwin Park Boulevard with the
northerly line of 0. T. Bassett's Subdivision of the
Workman Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 59,
pages 4 to 9, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Records, in
the office of said Recorder; thence South 87° 37' 24''
West 152.55 feet, more or less, to a point which is
South 87° 37' 24" West 306.36 feet and North 88' 16' 56"
West 299.59 feet from said point in said center line of
Baldwin Park Boulevard; thence North 9' 07' 26" West
70.80 feet; thence South 86' 45' 11'° West to the southerly
prolongation of the westerly line of Lot 24 of said
Tract No. 26572; thence northerly along said southerly
prolongation to the southerly boundary of the City of
Baldwin Park, as said Boundary existed on April 13,
1963; thence easterly along said Boundary of the City
of Baldwin Park to the point of beginning.
Said territory shall be designated as Annexation No. 15.-'
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
ado p tion of this ordinance, and shall cause the same to be
published or posted as required by law, and thirty days from
and after the final passage thereof shall file a certified
opy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of
California, and after such certified copy has been so filed
and a certificate of the Secretary of State certifying to its
filing has been received by the City, the City Clerk shall
file a copy of the map of said territory with the following:
the County Surveyor of Los Angeles County; the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County; the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles; the County Assessor of said County; the
County Engineer of said County; the Board of Equalization
of the State of California, and the Census Bureau of the
United States Government.
