AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
ADDING SECTION 6133 TO THE BALDWIN
PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO
BUSINESS LICENSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 6133 is hereby added to
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code to read as follows:
Section 6133. SOLICITORS. Notwithstanding
any other provision of this Code, any person who
employs directly, or as independent contractors,
10 or more solicitors as that term is defined
herein, may be issued a single business license
for a fee of $208.00, which said license shall
entitle such person to engage and conduct house-
to-house solicitations within the City for not
to exceed 15 individual solicitors. Provided,
however, that each such solicitor shall pay a
fee of $2.00 and shall be required to comply
with the provisions of Section 6132 hereof,
insofar as it relates to fingerprinting and
identification."
SECTION 2. That as of the effective date of this
ordinance, any person licensed pursuant to Section 6132
of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code for the year 1965,
who desires to avail himself of the provisions of
Section 6133 of said Code, may do so, and the License
Collector shall apply such fees already paid by such
person, to the fee required by Section 6133.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify the
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be
published in the manner prescribed by law.
