AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION 6l 19 OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO
BUSINESS LICENSES,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS t
SECTION I. Thai- Section 6119 of the Baldwin Park Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows;
6119. Penalty to Pay Taxes When Due, Any person
who fails to pay a license tax when due, shall be assessed,
by the tax collector, a penalty of tO^S of the total amount
of such business license tax. Said penalty shall be imposed
if such taxes are not paid on or before the last day of the
month after the due date of said license tax? provided, that
f the last day for payment of said tax falls upon a holiday
then the time for payment of such tax, without the imposition
of a penalty, shall be extended to the next succeeding day
during which the City offices are open for business. No
penalty, imposed, shall exceed, in any case, more than 5°^ of
the amount of such license tax.
Upon written application, and a finding of good cause,
by the City Council, it may waive all or any portion of any
penalty Imposed hereunder."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and cause the same to be published In the manner
prescribed by law,
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of June
1965.
