AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK RENUMBERING
SECTION 5155 RELATING TO FEES. SECTION
5155-1* AND AMENDING SECTIONS 5155.1
AND 5157 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICI-
PAL CODE, RELATING TO FIREWORKS PER-
MITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITf OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1. Thftt Section No. 3155 of the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code, relating to Fees, is hereby renumbered
5155.I".
SECTION 2. That Section 5155.1 of the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5155.1. Same. Fees. Each application
shall be accompanied by a fee, in the form of a cashier's
check, or cash, in the amount of $10.00. If the permit
for which such fee is charged s not issued, one-half
of said fee shall be refunded to the applicant."
SECTION 5. That Section 5157 of the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code, is hereby amended to read as follows;
Section 5157. Same. City CounciI Action. All
appi i cat ions for f ireworks permyts and pub He fireworks
displays, shall be referred to the City Council for
approval, condi tlonal approval or den ial. The City
Council shall deny any such fireworks permit or an
application for a public fireworks display, if it finds
that the public safety is, or would be, jeopardized by
the issuance thereof. The decision of the Council shall,
in all cases, be final and conclusive.
The total number of fireworks permits Issued
hereunder shall not exceed ten 10) n number in any
given year.
SECTION U- That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
in the manner prescribed by law.
