AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK ADDING SECTION 2909.1 TO THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I, That Section 2909.1 is hereby added to the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code to read as foMows:
2909.I. Claims against the City by Officers and
Employees^ Any officer or employee of the Cit/, while in
the course of performing duties for and on behalf of said
City, who suffers damage to any item of personal property
belonging to such officer or employee, may file a claim
for reimbursement with the Director of Finance, The officer's
or employee^ department head. or he Chief Administrative
Officer in the case of employees not supervised by a depart"
Ment head, shall determine whether the loss or damage to
such personal property occurred within the scope of such
persons' duties and that such loss or damage was not the
result of negiect by such officer or employee. If it Is
determined by the department head and/or Chief Administra-
tive Officer, that the loss or damage occurred within
th® scope of such person's duties on<)
was not the fault of the employee, he shaN cause a warrant
to be submitted to the City Council for approval, in &n
amount equal to the reasonable value for the repair or
replacement such property."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance ond cause the same to be published in
the manner prescribed by law.
