AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING CERTAIN
PROVISIONS OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO THE ZONING REGULATIONS
APPLICABLE TO C-I AND C-2 ZONES WITHIN
THE CITY URGENCY ORDINANCE)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the Ci+y Council of the Ci+y of Baldwin Park
does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That the present zoning regulation applicable to zones
C-l and C-2 in the Municipal Code, do not'prohibit the use
therein of used clothing and furniture stores; and
b) That such uses are not compatible with other uses permitted
in said zones; and
c) That at the time of adoption of the existing zoning regula-
tions, such uses were not intended to be allowed in such
zones; and
d) Th'at if this ordinance is not adopted immediately, a number
of such uses will be commenced, which wilt be to the
detriment of the City's future development; and
e) That the public interest, convenience and necessity requires
the adoption of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. That Sections 9600 A 9) 10) and II), and 9610 A
15) and 22), are hereby amended, as follows:
9600. A.
T?) Clothing stores, new retail sales only.
10) Dress or mi I 1inery shops, new retail sales only;
not more than ten 10) employees.
11) Dry goods and notions stores, new retail sales only.
9610. A.
15) DeIete.
22) Furniture stores, new retail sales only.
44) Delete.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance Is declared to be an urgency ordinance,
and shall take effect immediately. A statement of facts constituting the basis
of the urgency of this ordinance is as set forth in Section I hereof.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption hereof,
and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
