HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 528ORD 528̤<žjh£Ÿj¿‘¼IORDINANCE NO. 528 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION 4245 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO POOLROOM®. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That subparagraph b) of Section 4243 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code is hereby awended to read as follows: Minors. No person under the age of 21 years shall enter, be, or remain In, any billiard or pool hall, or In any billiard or poof roofli In the City, unless such person Is accompanied by his parent or guardian* No person, whether as owner, operator, or person In charge of any pool or billiard room or ha II, shall permit any person under the age of 21 years to enter, be, or remain In, any such pool or billiard room or hall* SECTION 2» Violations, a Misdemeanor. No person shall violate any provisions, or fall to comply with any of the requirements of this Ordinance. Any person violating any of the provisions or falling to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of this Ordinance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor under the provisions of this Ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of not more than Five Hundred $500.00) Dollars, or by Imprisonment In the City or County Jail for a period not exceeding six 6) months, or by both such fine and Imprisonment* Each such person shall be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this Ordinance Is coamltted, continued or permitted by such person and shall be punishable accordingly. In lieu of, or In addition to the penalties herelnabove provided, any condition caused or permitted to exist In violation of any of the pro- visions of this Ordinance or any Code adopted hereby shall be deemed a public nuisance and may be, by the City Attorney upon direction of the City Council, sunroarlly abated as such, and each day such condition continues shall be regarded as a new and separate offense* SECTION 3, That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published In the manner prescribed by law.
