ORDINANCE NO. 531
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DECLARING IT? INTENTION AND DESIRE TO HAVE
CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN ITS BOUNDARIES
ANNEXED TO THE CONSOLIDATED FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY no. 26-67)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
hereby finds that said City has within It certain territory hereinafter
described which Is adjacent to the Consolidated Fire Protection District
of Los Angeles County, and that the boundaries of said territory as
hereinafter set forth were previously approved by the Locat Agency
Formation Conroission. The City Council further finds that on July 2, 1968
the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors by order approved the
proposed annexation of said territory as hereinafter described located
within the boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park, a general law city,
to the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County
pursuant to a previous request of the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park,
SECTION 2, That said boundaries of said territory entirely
within the City of Baldwin Park and proposed to be annexed to the
Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County, and
designated as Annexation No* 26-67 as designated and referred to In
Resolution No. 68-121 adopted by the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park on June 5, 1968 and more particularly described as follows;
Baldwin Park Parcel No* 1-67
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 12 of
Eugene RIggln's Subdivision of the Hathaway Tract, as
shown on reap recorded In Book 53, page 37 of Miscellaneous
Records, In the office of the Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles; thence easterly, southerly and westerly along
the boundary of the City of Baldwin Perk as same existed
on August 8, 1967 to the boundary of Consolidated Fire
Protection District of Los Angeles County as same existed
on said date; thence northerly along said last mentioned
boundary to the point of beginning, Containing: 0.016 Square ftlles)
SECTION 5. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park by
and on behalf of said City hereby declares Its Intention and desire
to have said territory embraced and Included within said district and
said City does hereby declare that said territory as described be annexed
to District.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall r^rtify to the adootlon of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published In the manner required by law,
and said Ordinance shall take effect 50 days after final passage. The
City Clerk Is further directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance
with the Secretary of State with Instructions to the Secretary of State
to hold this Ordinance 30 days from the date of the passage of said
Ordinance and to thereafter file the same and report to the City Clerk
when It was filed; and the City Clerk Is further directed to file a
certified copy of this Ordinance with the Board of Supervisors of Los
Angeles County, the county within which said City and territory are
located,
