AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING
THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO MOTOR
VEHICLE STORAGE. Case No. AZC-38)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 4 of Article IX of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code shall be amended by adding
thereto Part 7.1, consisting of Section 9511, Part 7.1
Motor Vehicle Storage, to said Code, to read as follows
9511. SAME. PARKING OF VEHICLES, No
person shall park, repair, dismantle, or store
any vehicle within the City unless the same is
in compliance with the provisions of this
Chapter and this Part.
1. Definit.ions: For the purpose of this
Part,the fo1 lowing words and phrases
shall have the meaning ascribed to
them as hereinafter set forth, except
where the context hereof clearly re-
quires a contrary meaning.
a) Park shall mean the standing of
a motor vehicle, other than for
the purpose of loading or un-
loading merchandise or passengers.
Vghicle shall mean and include,
motorcycle, motor driven cycle,
motor truck, passenger vehicle,
station wagon, truck tractor,
trailer and vehicle, as these
phrases are defined by the Vehicle
Code, State of California, and all
similar types of vehicles.
c) Store shall mean to keep or
locate for future use.
R^811" shall mean the work
necessary to restore a vehicle
to a usable condition.
e) Dismantle shall mean the removal
or stripping of one or more
integral component parts of a
vehicle.
f) Disassemble shall mean the same
as dismantle.
g) Disabled vehicle shall mean a
vehicle which is not operable
by reason of the removal of, or
damage to, integral component
parts.

Parking of Vehicles: No person shall
park any vehicle, as that phrase is
defined by Subsection 1 b hereof, for
any purpose, upon any parcel of land
within the City, except in a garage,
driveway area, or in those areas
designated for the same as permitted
by this Part.
Repair, Dismantling orStorage of
Vehicles, prohibited: No person shall
assemble, dismantle, repair or store
any vehicle, other than as herein
provided, on any parcel of land unless
such work is conducted:
a) mrnxn an enclosed building; or
b) Within an open area which is
completely enclosed by a view
obscuring wall or fence, not less
than six 6) feet in height. Walls
or fences constructed pursuant to
this section shall be subject to
a Site Plan Review procedure.
4.
Exception:
a)
The provisions of subparagraph 3
shall not apply to the occasional
and/or incidental assembly or re-
pair of vehicles owned by the person
in possession of the premises upon
which said repair is conducted; and
b) The provisions of

Compliance: Notwithstanding any other
provision of this code, compliance with
the provisions hereof shall be had within

5.
SECTION 2, That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be
published in the manner prescribed by law.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18 day of September 1968.
