AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION
5100 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE,
IN ORDER TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE FIRE
CODE OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES/' 1968
EDITION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 5100 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
5100. Adoption of Fire Code of the Coun+y of Los Angeles,"
1968 edition.
a) Adoption. The Fire Code of the toun+y of Los Angeles,"
the same being Ordinance No, 2947, as amended to December 20,
1968, except Article 12 thereof, consisting of Sections 12.01
to 12,07, inclusive, is hereby adopted as the public fire
prevention code for the City of Baldwin Park hereafter refer-
red to as Fire Code".) Three copies of said Fire Code are
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Baldwin
Park.
pena^^• Violation jf any provision of the Fire Code
shalI be punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by
imprisonment in the County jait for not more than six months or
both. Each day during any portion of which any violation of
any provision of the said Fire Code is committed or permitted,
shall be deemed to be a spoara+e offense."
c) Definitions. The definitions appearing on Page I of said
Fire Code are hereby deleted, and the following definitions
are inserted in their place and stead, and shall apply to said
Fire Code:
1) Administrator shall mean the Chief Administrative
Officer of +he City,
2) Building Code? Electrical Code, or Uniform Building Code,
shall mean The Building Regulations of the &i+y.
5) Chief of Pol Ice shatI mean the Police Chief of the City.
4) J urIsd i ct ionaI Area shall mean the City of Baldwin Park.
5) Coupty or County of Los Angeles shalI mean the City of
Baldw'in Park.
6) Bureau of Fire Prevention as in Fire Code.
7) Chief Engineer, as in Fire Code.
SECTION 2, That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law,
PASSED AND APPROVED this 5rd day of September, 1969.
