ORDINANCE NOo 567
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
EXTENDING, FOR A PERIOD OF 90 DAYS,
THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 562
URGENCY ORDINANCE)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1, That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That on February 6, 1970, this Council adopted Ordinance
No, 562, the effect of which was to declare and establish a moratorium upon the
construction or erection of any outdoor advertising structures within the City,
for a period of 90 days, to allow a review of applicable zoning regulations by
the Planning Commission, and
b) That the Planning Commission has diligently conducted
such studies, but has advised this Council that it has not had sufficient time
to prepare its formal recommendations thereon within said period of time; and
c) That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require that the provisions of said Ordinance 562, be extended for an addi-
tional period of 90 days to allow the completion of the Commission's study and
a review thereof by this Council.
SECTION 2. That the provisions of said Ordinance No, 562, are hereby
readopted and recorded as if set forth in full herein; said provisions shall
be, and remain, in full force and effect for a period of 90 days from and
after the date of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an Urgency
Ordinance and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption; a statement of
fact constituting the basis for such urgency is as set forth above, and in
Ordinance No» 562.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption hereof, and
shall cause this ordinance to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
