ORDINANCE NO. 605
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ASCENDING THE
PROVISIONS OF THE BALDWIN PARK
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO HOUSE
RELOCATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 7900 of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
7900. Definitions. For the purpose
of this Chapter Fhe following definitions shall
apply unless the context otherwise clearly
requires:
a) Building shall mean any structure
having a roof supported by colunns or by
walls, and intended for the shelter, housing
or enclosure of persons, animals, chattels,
or property of any kind;
b) Code shall mean the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code;
c) City shall mean the City of Baldwin
Park;
d) Council shall mean the City Council
of said City;
e) Engineer shall mean the City
Engineer;
f) House moving permit shall mean a
permit issued upon an application to allow the
movement of a building or structure in, over,
or upon any public street or public property
within City provided that such building or
structure will not be permanently relocated
within said City;
g) Relocate or relocation shall mean
the temporary or permanent relocation of any
building or structure upon any property located
within the City;
h) Structure shall mean anything con-
structed or erected which requires a fixed
location on the ground or is attached to
some object having a fixed location on the
ground.
SECTION 2. That Sections 7907, 7908 and 7909 of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code are hereby amended to read,
respectively, as follows:

7907. Relocations Prohibited. Except
as specifically provided in this Fart, no
person shall move any building or structure
from any place, temporarily or permanently,
to any lot within the City."
7908. Exception Temporary Facilities.
The provisions or Section 7907 shall not apply
to the transportation into or the use within
the City of temporary buildings and/or
structures in accordance with, or as required
by, other applicable regulations, such as
construction offices, storage sheds, portable
sanitation facilities, bleacher seats, con-
struction barricades and the like and for
use, and if used only in connection with
construction or other temporary activities
lawfully conducted within the City,"
7909. Public Nuisances. Any building
or structure relocated in violation of any of
the provisions of this Chapter is declared to
be a public nuisance and shall be abated as
such."
SECTION 3. That Sections 7910 through 7915,
inclusive, of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, are hereby
repealed and rescinded.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify the
adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be
published in the manner prescribed by law,

1971.
