AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION 4101
OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO THE ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE URGENCY)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 4101 of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 4101. That Section 411 of the Animal
Control Ordinance of the County of Los Angeles,
adopted pursuant to Section 4100 of this Code, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
411. Every person owning or having custody
or control of any dog over the age of four 4)
months in the city not covered by the provisions of
Section 410 shall first obtain an annual license
from the Director for each of such dogs and at the
same time obtain a dog license tag, and for such
license or licenses, in addition to the One Dollar
$1.00) fee for the dog license tag, shall pay Six
Dollars $6.00), a total of Seven Dollars $7.00)
in all. Shelter fees shall be set by the Director
of the Los Angeles County Department of Animal
Control."
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared an
urgency measure and shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption. A statement of facts constituting the basis for
the urgency of this Ordinance is as follows:
That the provisions of this Ordinance are
required by State law, and it is necessary that
the provisions of this Ordinance be effectuated
immediately.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption hereof, and cause this Ordinance to be published
in the manner prescribed by law.
PASSED and APPROVED this 7th day of August 1974.
