AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNcil UP
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, AMENDING
THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE.
RELATING TO THE POSITION OF CITY
MANAGER URGENCY)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 2306 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
2306. Employment Agreement. The provisions of Section
2303 and 2304 hereof in their entirety, and Subsection c) 1)
c. of Section 2201, shall be deemed, for all purposes, sus-
pended. and of no effect, during such time or times, as an
employment agreement, relating to the position of City Manager,
is in effect."
SECTION 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency
ordinance and will take effect immediately upon its adoption. That the
statement of facts constituting the urgency thereof are as follows:
That the ordinance which amended the Code by adding
Section 2306 contained a typographical error and the cor-
rection of which is essential to avoid the suspension of
that section in the Municipal Code which relates to a11
unclassified employees; the intent was to suspend the
effect of that subsection only as it relates to the position,
of City Manager, during such time as an employment agreement
relating to that position is in effect; the immediate adoption
of this ordinance is required to preserve the public peace,
health, and safety.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the manner
prescribed by law.
