ORDINANCE NO. 707
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL Oft THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK PROHIBITING THE
POSSESSION OF SPRAY PAINT APPARATUS AND/
OR OTHER INDELIBLE MARKING DEVICES IN
PUBLIC PARKS AND OTHER PUBLIC PROPERTIES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following new Section 3614 is hereby added to the
Municipal Code:
3614. SPRAY PAINT APPARATUS AND/OR OTHER INDELIBLE
MARKING DEVICE. Within the limits of any park and other
public properties, it shall be unlawful for any person to
bring or have in his possession any spray paint can or any
other indelible marking apparatus designed or suitable for
the application of paint or indelible ink to any surface by
spraying paint or marking with indelible ink upon such suf-
face. the foregoing prohibitions shall not apply to:
a) Persons bearing a special written permit from
Park or City authorities to have such cans or apparatus in
their possession; and
b) Persons engaged or employed by the City of Baldwin
Park for the purpose of applying paint and other material to
appropriate surfaces within the limits of the public parks
and other public properties."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by
law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1975.

I, THELMA L. BALKUS. City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 707 was regularly introduced and
placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on
the 18th day of June, 1975. That, thereafter, said Ordinance was duly
approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 2nd
day of July, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN GREGORY, KING, MC CARON, WALDO AND MAYOR HAMILTON
