AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL O^ THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING StBTION——-——
2256 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE,
RELATING TO CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 2256 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
2256 POLITICAL ACTIVITIES. No person, other than
elective officers, while in the employ of the City, in any
capacity, shall engage in any political activity during
such time as such person is on duty. Any person described
in subparagraph b) of Section 2201 hereof, who files, or
permits the filing of, a nominating paper, placing his name
in nomination for any elective office of the City, shall be
deemed to have resigned, effective immediately, from his
position of employment with the City."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed
by law.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this lyfh day of December. 1975.

placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 3rd day of December, 1975. That, thereafter, said Ordinance
was duly approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 17th day of December. 1975, by the following vote:
