HOUSING ADVISORY COMMISSION FOR THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Part F/ Sections 2455-2458 inclusive, are
hereby added to Chapter 4, Article II of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code, to read as follows:
Part F Housing Advisory Commission
2455. Housing Advisory Commission Established.
That there being a need for a housing authority
to function in the City, a Housing Advisory
Commission be, and the same hereby is, created
in and for the City of Baldwin Park.
2456. Membership. The Housing Advisory Commission
shall consist of five 5) persons of whom shall be
qualified residents of the City at the time of their
appointments and at all other times during their
terms.
2457. Terms. The term of office for members of the
Housing Advisory Commission shall be for a period
of one 1) year, subject to provisions of Part A
hereof.
2458. Duties. The Housing Advisory Commission
shall perform the following duties:
a) Act in an advisory capacity to the City
Council in all matters pertaining to
housing needs and conditions of dwelling
accommodations.
b) Act in an advisory capacity to the City
Council with respect to the development
of housing programs for senior citizens
and low and moderate income families.
c) Exercise such other powers and duties as
may be assigned by order of the City
Council.
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published in the manner prescribed by law.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of May 1976.
