AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADDING
SECTIONS 7560 AND 7561 TO THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO UNIFORM SOLAR ENERGY CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Sections 7560 and 7561 are hereby added to the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code to read as follows:
7560. ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM SOLAR ENERGY CODE, 1976
EDITION'. Subject to certain changes, deletions and amendments, as
hereinafter set forth, the City of Baldwin Park does hereby adopt,
as the solar energy regulations for said City the Uniform Solar
Energy Code, 1976 Edition', hereafter referred to as Code'),
copyrighted and adopted by the International Association of Plumbing
and Mechanical Officials, which said Code consists of a published
compilation of rules and standards pertaining to the erection,
installation, alteration, relocation, replacement, maintenance or
use of any solar system except as otherwise provided for in this
Code. Said Solar Energy Code is made a part hereof as if set forth
in full in this Chapter.
7561. AMENDMENTS. The following sections of said Code.
adopted by Section 7560 hereof are hereby deleted, as designated,
amended or added to read as follows:
Part One Administration
a) Section 10.5 b) Add Municipal Code Section 7600 et
seq".
b) Section 20.1 Shall read: Whenever the term Adminis-
trative Authority" is used in this Code it shall be construed to
mean the Building Official or his Authorized Representative.
c) Section 20.3 Insert Five Hundred Dollars", County"
and six" in the blank spaces in this paragraph.
d) Section 20.6 Fees. The City Council shall by resolu-
tion set a schedule of fees.
e) Section 20.13 Board of Appeals. In order to determine
the suitability of alternate materials and types of construction
and to provide for reasonable interpretations of the provisions
of this Code, the City Council shall act as the Board of Appeals."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Ordinance
and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law,
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of /\uW^ 1978.
