HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 810ORD 810pT3(ÌìÒ„r^-——— //^ ORDINANCE NO. 810 i—'..'*';^ \^:^nG AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTIONS 2001, 2003 AND 2201(a) OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Sections 2001, 2003 and 2201(a) of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: 2001. COUNCIL REORGANIZATION. The Council shall reorganize and select one of its number as Mayor pro tempore, on the following occasions: a) In even numbered years» when the canvass of election results, as to the position of Mayor, occurs; or b) In odd numbered years at the first regular meeting held during the month of April; or c) At such other times as a majority of the City Council shall so order." 2003. COUNCILMANIC SALARIES. The salary of the Mayor and each member of the City Council shall be in the sum of $200.00 per calendar month." 2201. STATUS OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES. The City Council shall adopt, by resolution, a Classification Plan prepared by the City Manager for all positions in the Classified and Unclassified Service pursuant to this Section. All officers and employees of the City shall be included in one of the categories hereinafter specified in this Section: a) Elective Officers of the City. The elective officers of the City shall be the following: 1) Mayor; 2) Each member of the City Council; 3) City Clerk; 4) City Treasurer." SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day eW June 1980.
