AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 17.40 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING
ANIMAL REGULATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 17.40.020 subsection D, 1 and 2 of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as
follows:
Z Not more than a total of twenty-four above-
described birds per residence, located within the R-l zone, may
be kept outside the dwelling unit. Birds shall be caged at all
times.
2. Not more than a total of three hen chickens
per residence, located within the R-l zone, may be kept outside
the dwelling unit. Roosters shall not be permitted."
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance arid cause the same to be published as
required by law, and the same shall take effect thirty 30)
days after the date of its adoption by the City Council of the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park at a regular meeting he on the day
of May 4, 1994.

I, LINDA L. GAIR, City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council on April 20, 1994 That
thereafter, said Ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 4th day of May 1994, and was
carried by the following roll call vote, to wit:
