AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
AMENDING SECTION 5.04.020 DEFINITIONS)
OF, AND ADDING SECTION 5.08.125 VEHICLE
LICENSE FEE) TO, THE BALDWIN PARK
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH A BUSINESS
LICENSE TAX ON VEHICLES USED IN THE SALE
OF GOODS ON PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Subsection C of Section 5.04.020 of the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code is hereby amended to read in its entirety as
follows:
C. Vehicle" shall mean as defined in the Vehicle Code
of the State of California."
SECTION 2: Section 5.08.224 of the Baldwin Park Municipal
Code is hereby added to read as follows:
5.08.224 Vehicle Used in the Sale of Goods on Public Rights-
of-Way or Public Property. The owners or operators of
vehicles used in the sale of goods on public rights-of-way or
public property as set forth in Chapter 12.05 of this Code,
shall pay an annual license fee of One Hundred Forty-Five
Dollars $145.00) per vehicle, exclusive of various other fees
as set by Resolution of the City Council."
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty 30) days from and after its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park at a regular meeting on the 20th day of July 1994.
