Home My WebLink AboutORD 1110ORD 1110pT3(Ìì¨} ORDINANCE NO. 1110 AN ORDINANCE OF ThE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.1074 DESIGNATING CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES TO FULFILL ThE DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF ThE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park Municipal Code Code" creates and establishes the office of City Manager; and WHEREAS, the code sets forth certain duties and functions to be fulfilled and carried out by the City Manager as appointed by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the position of City Manager became vacant as of the close of business on October 7, 1993; and WHEREAS, during the time of office of City Manager remains vacant, the City Council desires that the duties and functions of the City Manager to be fulfilled and carried out by certain Department Heads in the City. NOW, THEREFORE, ThE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Those duties and functions identified in the Baldwin Park Municipal Code to be carried out or fulfilled by the City Manager" or by the City Manager or his designee" are hereby re delegated as follows: a. With regard to emergency services, to the Chief of Police or his designee. b. With regard to revenue and finance, to the Director of Administrative Services or his designee. C. With regard to health and safety, to the City Clerk or designee. d. With regard to public peace, morals, and welfare, to the Chief of Police or his designee. e. With regard to vehicles and traffic, to the Director of Public Works or his designee. f. With regard to streets, sidewalks, and public places, to the Director of Public Works or his designee. g. With regard to public services, to the Director of Public Works or his designee. h. With regard to building and construction, to the Director of Public Works or his designee. With regard to subdivisions and zoning, to the Director of Public Works or his designee. J. With regard to the grievance process and/or appropriate disciplinary actions, to Committee of those Department Heads except the Department Heads from which the grievance occurs. SECTION 2: Notwithstanding the above, the City Council hereby reserves the right and power to redesignated the person responsible for carrying out any of the duties and functions set forth in the Baldwin$ Park Municipal Code as the duties and obligations of the City Manager, by Minute Action any City Council meeting. SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be posted and published in the manner required by law.
