REQUESTING- TEE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TEE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
TO PERMIT THE'REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECI-
FIED SERVICES TO TEE CITY CCF BALWIN PARK, RELATING TO TEE CONDUCT
OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE EELD IN SAID CJTY. ON APRIL
10, 1956.
VBKREAS, a general municipal election is to be held in the City of
Baldwin park on April 10, 1956; and
WEEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in relation thereto
it vill be necessary to mail sample ballots and/or polling place cards to the re-
gistered voters of the City, and it vill facilitate such mailing if the Registrar
of Votayrs of the County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish the City the im-
printing of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on mail-
ing labels or stickers furnished by the City; and
KEEREAS, ell necessary expense in performing this service shall be paid by
the City. of Baldwin Park.
NOW, TBEBEFOHE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
RESOLVE, DETERMINE and ORDER, as follows:
Section 1. That it is deemed economical and satisfactory to the City Council
of the City of Baldwin Park that the Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles
prepare and furnish to said City, for use in conducting said election to be held on
April 10, 1956, the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters
of said City, on mailing labels or stickers furnished by the City, and accordingly
and purtaaant to the provisions of Section 9483 of the Elections Code of the State of
California, this City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County
of Los Angeles to permit the Registrar of Voters of said County to render such serv-
ices to the City in connection with the conduct of said election.
Section 2. That the estimated cost of said services is $4l.25, and it is
hereby ordered that the sum of $4l,25 being an amount 10% In excess of such esti-
mated cost) be reserved from the funds of said city to the end that a sum equal to
the actual cost of said services my be transferred to said county when the work is
completed and goods supplied upon presentation to the city of a properly approved
bill from. said county, and accordingly the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and
directed to transfer said last mentioned, sum from the General Fund of said Citj to
a fund hereby created and designated Registrar of Voters Services Pond, 1956",
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward without delay
to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters, each a certified copy
of this resolution.
