A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWEN PARK ffiOTOITNG FOR THE ADOPTION OF A
SYSTEM OF STREETS TO BE RECOMMENDED AS MAJOR
CITY STREETS".
WHEREAS, it is provided in the Streets and Highway Codes of the State of
California that the City Officials of the city shall recommend a system of
streets to be known as major city streets; and
WHEREAS 3 the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park has selected a
system of streets which they desire to recommend as major city streets, and
WHEREAS, said major city street system does not exceed $0^ of the total
mileage of streets and highways maintained by and in the city^
NW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
RESOLVE^ DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows;
Section I* That it is hereby deemed desirable and satisfactory to the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park that the following named streets be
selected as major city streets upon the basis that said streets are of the
greatest general city importance. Said streets are designated as;
Olive Street
Los Angeles Street
Ramona Blvd. North of Pacific Electric Railroad tracks, easterly rom
Merced Avenue to east City limits,
Ramona Blvd. South of Pacific Electric Railroad tracks in its entirety.
El Monte Street.
Frazier Street from Garvey northerly and easterly to Merced Avenue
Holt Avenue from intersection with Maine Avenue easterly to City limits.
Merced Avenue to Los Angeles Street, from Garvey Boulevard.
Francisquito Avenue
Puente Avenue from Garvey to East Ramona Blvd.
Vineland Avenue
Maine Avenue from Intersection with Holt Avenue northerly to City limits
Sierra Madre Avenue
Baldwin Park Boulevard
Foster Avenue from Baldwin Park Blvd. to Ramona Blvd.
Siyracuse Street
Morgan Street from Sierra Madre Avenue to Maine Avenue
Ina Street
Laurens Street from Raiaona Blvd. to Morgan Street
Robin Street
Section 2. The City streets selected as major city streets are indicated
upon and shown upon the attached street map of the City of Baldwin Park
which map is designated as Exhibit A and made a part of this Resolution.
Section 3* The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park is directed to forward
two certiHed copies of this Resolution together with two copies of the
attached map to the District Engineer, Division of Highways of the State
of California.
