A RESOLUTION OF TBE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PABK ESTABLISHING A PAY SCALE AND CONDI-
TIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOB EMPLOYEES.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE
and OEDER, as follows:
Section 1. That the salary scale of city employees shall be as follows;
Position Starting Salary 1st Step 6 tfo, 2nd Step 1 Yr. 3rd Step 2 Yr. 4th Step3 Yr. 5th Step; 4 Yr.
Deputy City Clerk $300.00 $325.00 $335.00 $350.00 $365.00 $375.00
Secretary-Stenographer 250.00 260.00 275.00 290.00 305.00 320.00
Clerk-Stenographer 225.00 235.00 245.00 260.00 275.00 290.00
Clerk-Typist 215.00 225.00 235.00 45.00 255.00 265.00
Section 2. That promotions will n-orioally be made from step to step at the
end of the period specified in Section 1, a'bove, providing the head of the depart-
ment shall certify that the employee's service has been satisfactory or bet her
during the previous period, anJ subject to the approval cf the City Council.
Section 3. Each permanent employee, except members of the Police Beparuneixt,
shall be entitled o two calendar weeks aimual leave with pay; provided ttiat an
employee with less than six months service shall not be granted annual leave with
pay. Annual leave shall not be accujaulayive.
Section 4, Each permanent employee, except members of the Police Department,
shall be entitled to sick leave at the rate of two calendar weekjs per annum; pro-
vided that an employee Ith less than six months service shall not be granted sick
leave with pay. Sick leave may be accumulated for not to exceed a period of one
1) calender month.
Section 5, The work wQtek shall be not less than forty 40) nor more than
forty-one 41) hours. All overtime shall be compensabed for ac straight time
for week days, and tto.e anc^ one-half l^) to^ Sundays and holiday&.
Section 6. All temporary employees shall be paid jn an noux*ly basis, for
actual time vorL^ed. Such rates shpll not exceed $1.25 per hour for clerk-typist,
$1.35 per hour for clerk-stenographer, and $6.00 per hour for registered engineer
or other professional occupation of related degree. Temporary employees shall not
receive either annual or sick leave.
Section Employees shall be paid twice monthly; payments to be made on or
as soon after the 1st and 15th as is pr&ctica'ble; in no event shall payment he
later than five days after the due date.
Section G. Any employee using his/her private automobile on official busi-
ness for the City shall be reimbursed at the rate of 7^S per mile, under such
regulations as the Cloy Administrator may preecri'be. No such expense shall be
incurred vlthout first obtaining authority from the City Administrator.
