A RESOLUTION OF TEE C3TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ACKNOWLEDGING, AUTHORIZING AND CON-
SENTING TO TBE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BY THE
CITY ADMINISTRATOR, EIMER COOK, AND THE MAYOR,
HENRY T. LITTLEJOHN, OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,
BY AND WCTE THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of March, 1956, there was a contract
executed, by and bet-ween the State Board of Equalization of the State of
California and the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, Elmer Cook, City Administrator, and Henry J. Littlejohn,
Mayor, of the City of Baldwin Park executed said contract on behalf of
the City of Baldwin Park pursuant to the authority granted to the parties
by the Ordinances of the City of Baldwin Park and pursuant to Resolution
No. 5 of the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park desjres to confirm said execution
of the contract;
NOW THEREFORE BE 3T RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park finds that
the City Administrator, Elmer Cook, and the Mayor, Henry J, Littlejohn, were
authorized and empowered to execute that certain agreement for State adminis-
tration of local sales and use taxes by and between the State Board of Equali-
zation, State of California, and the City of Baldwin park for the purpose to
carry out Part 1.5 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code and the
sales and use tax ordinance of the City of Baldwin Park.
Section 2. The City Council further consents, approves and acknowledges
the execution of the said contract by and between the 8ity of Baldwin Park and
the State Board of Equalization, State of California.
Section 3« The City Clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy
of this resolution to the State Board of Equalization.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 2d day of April, 1956.

I, Elmer Cook, City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park, California, DO
BEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City
Council of said City and was approved by the Mayor of said city at a regular
meeting of said City Council held on the 2d day of April, 1956, and that it
was adopted by the following vote:
