A RESOLUTION OF THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY CF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING
A PAY SCALE FOR POLECEMEN, POLICE SBRCSANTS, POIICE BBOTENANTS AND POUCE
CAPTAINS
VHBBEAS, by Resolution No, 9, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
on the 10th day of February, 19$6, authorized the establishment of a police force and,
VHERBAS, by Resolution No. 11, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
established a pay scale for police officers, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a pay schedule for police
officers in the capacity of lieutenants and in the capacity of captains, and to
re-affirm their salary schedule as set forth in Resolution No» U,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
RESOLVE, DETBRMENE, and ORDER, as follows:
Section 1, The salary scale of the personnel of the Police Department shall
be as follow*
Minimum Maximum
3U5.00 to $UUO.OO per month
U$0»00 to 465.00 per month
U8$»00 to $00,00 per month
5l5»00 to $30»00 per month
Policeaan
Sergeant
Lieutenant
Captain
Section 2» Salary increases shall be on an incentive basis, commensurate with
the demonstrated technical police proficiency of the personnel concerned,
Section 3» No person may receive a salary in excess of the aanimxia pay scale
above set forth, except upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, which
recommendation shall be approved by the City Council at a regular Council Meeting.
ADOPTED, SECKED AND APPROVED this l6th day of April, 19^6.
