A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK EXP°-ESSING ITS APPRECIATION
OF THE SERVICES RENDERED BY HLNRY J. LITTLEJUHN
AS THE i-TRST IAYOR OF liIE CITY OF BALDMN PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park was incorporated on the 2^th day of
January, 19 6; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Henry J. Littlejohn received the highest total vote
of any Council candidate and
WHEREAS, Henry J. Little John was elected to serve as the first Mayor
of the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, said Mayor Little John gave unstintingly of His time;
N0^, THEREFORE, 3E IT DET^L:T-NED, ORDERED AND RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS;
That the City Council and the Mayor on behalf of their body and the
citizens of Baldwin Park do hereby express their appreciation of the services
rendered by Councilman Henry J. Little John as Mayor of the City of Baldwin Park
and for his assistance in the formulation of the City Administration during
its initial period; and
3E IT i-URTHE^ RESOLVED, that the City Clerk, on behalf of the City,
present to Mr. Henry J. Little John a token gavel as a memento of said appre-
ciation of the City Council and the Mayor and the citizens of Baldwin Park; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following inscription be engraved thereon,
to wit;
Henry J. Littlejohn First Mayor of the City of Baldwin Park
January 2^, 19^6 to April 17, 19?611.
