A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALMN PARK EST^USHING A PAY SCALE AND
coMnrmoNS OF MPLOYMENT FOR EMPLOYEES EXCEPT
FOR MEM3ERS OF THE POUCE FORCE ANH ffiRSCKNEL

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park, on the 25th day of January, 1956, established the compensation of the
City Administrative Officer at the sum of I-lfty Dollars $50.00) per
month, together with travel expenses in connection with City Business, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No, 16, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park, on the 19th day of March, 1956, established a pay scale for City
employee sj and
VJHEHEAS, the City Council desires to modify the salary scale of City
employees; and
VfflEKSAS, the City Council desires to enlarge the position classifi-
cations of City employees,
NOIV THEREH3RE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby RESOLVE, DETERHCNE and ORDER, as follows:
Section 1< The salary scale of the personnel of the City of Baldwin
Park other than the personnel of the Police Department, the City Attorney,
and personnel not specifically mentioned, shall be as follows;

Section 2. All temporary employees shall be paid on an hourly basis,
for actual time worked. Such rates shall not exceed $6.00 per hour 1'or
registered engineer or other professional occupation of related degree;
$1.50 per hour for clerk-stenographer, 1.35 per hour for clerk-typist, and
$1.50 per hour for janitor or laborer. Temporary employees shall not
receive annual or sick leave.
Section 3» The compensation of the City Administrative Officer is
fixed at the sum of Two Hundred and rifty Dollars 250.00) per month on
and after the l6th day of May^ 1956, together with travel expenses which
the office may incur in the conduct of City business.

Section U. Effective July 1, 19$6, all employees of the City,
except those exempt by Federal law, shall become subject to the provisions
of the Old Age and Survivors Insurance, and deductions shall be made from
salaries as provided in the Federal Insurance Contributions Act. and the
City shall contribute the amount specified in said Act.
ADOPTED, STORED AND APPROVED THLS 7th day of May, 19$6.
