A RESOLUTION OF THE CITT COUNCIL OF THE CITI OF
BAIDWIN PARK BE. NEED FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A
SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION IN THE CITT OF
BALDWIN PARK.
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park does not have within its
borders, nor innnediately near it, a savings and loan institution; and
WHERE&S, the people of Baldwin Park need an additional facility
for the placing of their savings providing good interest return, safety
and convenience; and
WnSREAS, a savings and loan institution located in Baldwin Park
could satisfy these needs and render great economic and social benefit to
our community by promoting horae-owiership and habits of thrift; and
WEREAS, a savings and loan institution can be located in Baldwin
Park only by the consent or charter of the Savings and Loan Commissioner of
the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows;
Section That the Savings and Loan Coranissioner of the State
of California be urged to grant a charter to a suitable applicant for the
operation of a savings and loan association in the City of BaldtAn park.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 30th day of July, 1956.
