A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDVriN PARK^ RE DENIAL ZONE CHANGE A-l to C-l

WHERT5AS, the Planninr Cornmission of the City of Baldwin Park,
pursuant to Resolution ITo, 10, of thpt body, did on the 26th day of
March 19^6, recommend denial of the request of Maurice R. Chez, at al
for change of zone from A-l to C-l, Case fo. 6, of the Baldwin Park
Planning Commission, nd
IHTREAS, the sand Petitioner Maurice R. Cnez did file application
for s-n appeal on the 27th day of March 19^6, and
VJHTSRI^S, the spid natter wps heard as a matter de novo by the City
Council on the 6th day of Aufust 19$6, at the bonr of 8:00 o'clock, P.M.,
at the Old Central School Auditorium, lj006 N» Pacific A-venue, Baldwin
Park, California,
WHB7RTSAS, there was evidence submitted on the said proposed zone
change,
NCM, THEREFORE, the City Council does ORDER, DETELMKE AND
RESOLVE, as Follows:
I 1< The Citv Coiwcil finds thrt due notice iras ven of the public
hearing to be held on the 6th day of August 19^6, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock P.M., at the Old Central School Auditorium, U006 N, Pacific
Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, and that the proponants and opponants
were given reasonable opportunity to be heard*
2» The City Council finds th?t the property upon whic^ the zone
change is desired consists of the four U) corners located b the
intersectior of Frsncisquito Avenue and Baldwin Park Boulevard.
3. The City Council finds fror the evidence submitted by the
opponents and proponants for the said zone chance that:
Q» The zone change requested is not necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of a substantial property right
of the petitioner.
b. The requested zone change would be materially detri-
mental to the public welfare and to the property of other
persons located in the vicinity of the said proposed
change.
c» The said proposed zone change would materially adversely
affect the comprehensive zoning of the City of Baldwin Park.
U. The City Council does hereby ORDER that the said petition
for change of zone in Planning Case No* 6 of the Baldwin Park Planning
Commission, being an application of Maurice R« Chez from A-l to C-l,
now before the said Cjty Council on appGr-1, be denied,
