A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK APPOINTING ALFRED A. BLAKESLEY AS
CITY ENGINEER.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 19 of the City Council of the City of
Bald-win Park provided for the appointment of a Consulting Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park now desires to appoint Alfred
A» lakesley, on a part time basis, as City Engineer of the City of
Baldwin Park;
NCM, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwi^ Park
does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
Section 1. Alfred A. Blakesley, a registered engineer licensed
to act as a professional engineer within the State of California, is
hereby appointed on a part time basis as City Engineer of the City of
Baldwin Park, except as to all matters covered by agreement between
the City of Baldwin Park and the County of Los Angeles, wherein it is
specifically provided that the Road Commissioner of the County of
Los Angeles shall act as the City Engineer of the Lty of Baldwin Park.
Section 2» The duties of the City Engineer hereby appointed
shall pertain to all matters wherein it is provided by statute that he
shall act and shall include, but not as a matter of exclusion, the fol-
lowing, to wit; Subdivision design; approval of subdivision maps, as
City Engineer, on behalf of the City; street, highway, curb and drive-
way plans; street maintenance engineering; sewer design engineering;
storm drain design engineering; public works engineering; special assess-
mefat district engineering; lighting districts engineering; such work
as is requested by the Planning Coirmi ssion, with the approval of the
City Administrator; and such matters as the City Council shall, rom
time to time, designate,
Section 3» The City Engineer's compensation for the duties
herein enumerated is fixed at the rate of Six Dollare 6,00) per hour,
The City Engineer shall be paid seven cents 7^) per mile for the use
of his private automobile jhen said automobile is used for or in con-
nection with City business,
Section U; The City Engineer shall work in conjunction with and
in cooperation with the City Administrator and the said City Engineer
shall certify to the City Administrator as to the number of hours ex-
pended by the Engineer upon the various duties hereby assigned to the
said Engineer.
Section This resolution supersedes Resolution No. 19»
