RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 07 THE CTTZ CF BALDWIN PARK
DECLARING THE INTI-IRSECTIONS OF MAINE AVENUE AND OLIVE STRECT
AND MAINE AVENUE AND LOS ANGEIES STREET AS TEMPORARY COUNTY
HIGHWAYS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TRAGIC SICMAI5 ACCORDING TO
LOS ANGELES COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT PIANS NO. TS 732 and 733.
WEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park finds that
after thorough engineering studies have been made and recognized by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, installation of
traffic signals is necessary at the intersections of Maine Avenue and
Olive Street and Maine Avenue and Los Angeles Street in the City of
Baldwin Park; and
VJHEREAS, it is necessary to declare these intersections to be
County Highways and grant to the County of Los Angeles jurisdiction
for the purpose of installation of traffic signals^ and
WHEREAS 3 the City of Baldwin Park desires to so declare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDAJNED:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park finds
that there is a need for traffic signals to be installed at the inter-
sections of Maine Avenue and Olive Street and Maine Avenue and Los
Angeles Street in the City of Baldwin Park.
Section 2. The City of Baldwin Park agrees to assume all mainte-
nance costs in connection with said signals under the terms of
County/City Agreement No. 272-D of January 25^19?6; and
Section 3, The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park declares
the intersections of Maine Avenue and Olive Street and Maine Avenue
and Los Angeles Street, as County highways and grants to Los Angeles
County temporary jurisdiction in order to construct the traffic
signals according to Road Department plans No, TS 732 and 733
Section h* Plans for the above installations will be submitted
for approval prior to construction, and jurisdiction will be released
by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles imiQsdiately
upon completion of the contract.
Section Cost of installation shad be borne by the County of
Los Angeles and shall not be chargeable to the City of Baldwin Park.
