A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN KRK REQUESTSIG THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF IOS ANCSIES TO PERMZC THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS
OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY
OF BALDWIN E&RK, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A SOCIAL
MUNICIPAL EIECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON
FEBRUARY 2. & 19$7-
WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City
of Baldwin Bark on February 19^75 and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in
relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and/or
polling place cards to the registered voters of the City, and it will
facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of
Los Angeles win prepare and furnish the City the imprinting of the
names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on mailing
labels or stickers furnished by said City, and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall
be paid by the City of Baldwin Park*
N(M, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldw n Park
does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE and CRBER, as follows:
Section That it is deemed economical and satisfactory to the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park that the Registrar of Voters
of the County of Los Angeles prepare and furnish to said City, for use
in conducting said election to be held on February 2^<a____, 19?7^
the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters of
said City, on mailing labels or stickers furnished by the City, and
accordingly and purs-oaixb to the provisions of Section 9U83 of the
Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby re-
quests the Board of Supervisors of said County of Los Angeles to permit
the Registrar of Voters of said County to render such services to the
City in connection with the conduct of said election,
Section 2» That the estimated cost of said services is $$0.00,
and it is hereby ordered that the sum of $$0,00 being an amount IC^S in
excess of such estimated cost) be reserved from the funds of said city
to the end that a sum equal to the actual cost of said services may
be transferred to said county when the work is completed and goods
supplied upon presentation to the city of a properly approved bill from
said county, and accordingly the City Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to transfer said last mentioned sum from the General Fund
of said City to a fund hereby created and designated Registrar of
Voters Services Fund, 19^7^
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of
Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution.
