A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY OP BALDWIN PARK
APPROVING THE GENERAL ALIGNMENT OF THE PROPOSED
BADILLO STORM DRAIN AND AUTHORIZING TOE COOPERA-
TION OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK WITH HIE CITIES
OF COVINA AND TOST COVINA AND HIE CCUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES. IN DEVELOPING SAID PROPOSED DRAIN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park has made
considerable investigation in the matter of surface water run-off in the
corporate limits of the City of Baldwin Park and adjacent areas; and
WHBRKAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park has been
requested by the City Council of the City of West Covina to cooperate with
said City and the City of Covina and the County of Los Angeles in supplying
necessary engineering information to the United States Corps of Engineers to
insure that adequate drainage capacity will be provided in the Big Dalton
Wash Channels; and
M1EREAS, the general alignment of the proposed Badillo Storm Drain
has been approved by the City Engineer's office of the City of Baldwin Park
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:
Section 1, The City Council of the City of Baldwin Part: does hereby
find that:
a. The public health, welfare and safety of the citizens of the
City of Baldwin Park, the cities of Covina and West Covina and the unincor-
porated area of the County of Los Angeles is in jeopardy from the storm
waters of the San Dimas Wasli and contributing drainage areas.
b. The U. S. Corps of Engineers is in the process of designing
the Big Dalton Wash Improvements and requires certain engineering informa-
tion and approval to proceed,
c. The general alignment and location of the proposed Badillo
Storm drain, its laterals and its outlet, appear to be adequate to
accomplish the desired purpose and are approved,
Section 2, Affected departments of the City of Baldin Park are
directed to cooperate with the Cities of Covina and West Covina and the County
of Los Angeles in supplying any necessary engineering information so that
construction by the United States Corps of Engineers may proceed without delay.
