A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDUN PARK ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING-
AREA, EXCEPT FOR PASSENGBt BOSSES, ON TOE
SOUTH SIDE OF PALM AVBTOE TOST OF MAINE AVTOUE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, pursuant
to the authority granted by Section 459<8 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, determines to establish a portion of Palm Avenue as an area
where vehicles, except passenger busses, are prohibited from parking at all
hours of the day or night;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:
Section 1» Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 459.8
of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park does hereby establish the portion of Palm Avenue designated
in Section 3 of this Resolution as an area where vehicles, except passenger
busses, are prohibited from parking at all hours of the day or night*
Section 2» Passenger busses are defined as commercial vehicles
used and maintained for the transportation of persons for hire, but excepting
therefrom taxi cabs,
Section 3» The portion of Palm Avenue upon which vehicle parking
is prohibited, other than passenger busses, is designated as follows:
The southerly side of Palm Avenue west of the intersection
of Palm Avenue and Maine Avenue for a distance west forty
40) feet,
Section 4» The City Administrative Officer is directed to cause
the curb in the designated portion of Palm Avenue to be painted red, and to
mark said red zone either upon the curb or by sign posts, as a bus loading
zone*
