RESOLUTION NO
A RESOLUTION OP TOE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK CONSENTING TO THE ACCEPTANCE
OF FUNDS BY THE CITY FROM THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES FOR SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS UPW
SCHOOL GROUNDS, AND THE BUDGETING OF FUNDS FOR
1HE CITVS PORTION OF SUCH PROGRAM.
UHERBAS, the County of Los Angeles has set up a. program of
allocation of appropriations for community recreation agreements covering
programs on school grounds in incorporated cities on the basis of furnishing
one-fourth of the cost thereof upon the condition that local financing be
provided for three-fourths of the cost thereof; and
WERBAS, the Baldwin Park schools have designated that they
would participate on the local level;
NOW, THSIEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows?
Section 1, That the City of Baldwin Park will accept aid from
the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors under their program of allocation
of one-fourth of the cost of operation of community recreation programs on
school grounds during the fiscal year 1957-1958•
Section 2, That the City of Baldwin Park will budget for the
fiscal year of 1957-1958 the amount of $12,000,00.
Section 3, That the Baldwin Park School district will furnish
the sau of $4142,06.
Section 4, That the County of Los Angeles be requested to
furnish the sum of $5380,69 as their share of the total cost of $21,522,75,
Section 5, The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of this
resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, through the
Department of Parks and Recreation, prior to May 15, 1957,
