A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OP BALDWIN PARK DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
VACATE A PART OF PUENTE AVENUE WITHIN THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park has been requested to vacate part of Puente Avenue
within the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapters
1, 2 and 3, Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, being Sections 8300 through
8331, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does here-
by declare its Intention to vacate that part of Puente Avenue
which is hereinafter referred to in this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The legal description of that part of
Puente Avenue which the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to vacate. Is set forth in Exhibit A" which
is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3: The City Council does hereby refer to
that certain Map on file in the office of the City Clerk
entitled Proposed Vacation of Puente Avenue" for particulars
as to the.proposed vacation,
SECTION The City Council does hereby fix the
5th day o^ August, 1957 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock, P.M.,
in the Auditorium of the Old Central School, as the time
and place for hearing all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 5: The City Engineer of the City of
Baldwin Park shall post notices of said vacation conspicuously
along the line of the street or part thereof proposed to be
vacated at least ten days prior to August 5, 1957. Such
notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart but
at least three notices shall be posted. Such notices shall
state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the
time and place of the public hearing as set forth in this
Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 6; The City Clerk shall cause this Reso-
lution of Intention to be posted or published in the manner
prescribed by law for the publishing or posting of Ordinances
of the City of Baldwin Park.
SECTION 7: In ary proceedings for the vacation
of the part of the street referred to in this Resolution,
the City Clerk may determine that the public convenience
and necessity require the reservation of easements and
rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8300 of

and all proceedings are taken subject to such reservations
and exceptions.

That portion of Rancho La Puente, described as follows;
Beginning at a point on the Northerly line of the strip of land
conveyed to the Los Angeles Interurban Realty Company, by deed
recorded in Book 2709, Page 143 of Deeds, and the intersection
of said Northerly line with the Westerly line of the Eugene
Riggins Subdivision of the Hathaway Tract, recorded in Book 53,
page 37, Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County of Los Angeles; thence North 86° 3* West
along said Northerly line 1291,9 feet; thence North 4° 54* E a
distance of 32* to the true point of beginning; thence North 4°
54» E a distance of 163»; thence North 85° 06* N a distance of
60*; thence S 4° 54» W a distance of 163^, thence S 85° 06' E a
distance of 60* to the point of beginning.
