A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION 8 OF RESOLUTION
NO. 7-54» PERTAINING TO RULES AND REGULATIONS
REGARDING WORKING HOURS, WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
did heretofore pass and adopt Resolution No. 7-^4» which
resolution did set forth a compensation plan and the rules
and regulations regarding the payment of salaries, sick
leaves, vacation,leaves of absence, and other personnel
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is for
the best interests of the City of Baldwin Park to add
Sub-sections e) and f) to Section 6 of said resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION I.
Subsection e) is hereby added to Section 8 of Resolution
No. 7-5^-j which sub-section shall read as follows;
e) For the purpose of this resolution, Sunday
shall not be considered a holiday in regard to em-
ployees of the Police Department, and no compensatory
time off shall be allowed for work on Sundays if the
employee is required to work on Sunday as a part of
his or her forty-hour week,"
SECTION 2.
Subsection f) is hereby added to Section 8 of Resolution
No. 57~^U-9 which subsection shall read as fol lows;
f) It is the policy of the City of Baldwin Park
that the Chief Administrative Officer and all depart-
ment heads shall devote as much of their ability as is
necessary in the performance of their duties, and all
of said persons who are employed by the City of Baldwin
Park are expected to and shall comply with this policy.
In this regard, the Chief Administrative Officer and
all department heads of the City of Baldwin Park shall
not be entitled to compensatory time off or overtime
payment in the event that they work for the City of
Baldwin Park in excess of forty hours per week,

I, Elmer Cook, City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park, California,
do HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was d-uly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Bald-win Park and was approved by the hayor
of said City at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the l6th
day of Septerrber_, 19$7, and that it was adopted by the following vote:
