A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDUTIN BARK CONSENTING. RJRSUANT
TO SBCTION 35304.5 OP TUB GOVERNMENT CODE,
10 TOE ANNEXATION BY AND TO IHB CITY OF
EL MOOTS OF CERTAIN TJNINHABITOD TERRITORY.
MHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Monte proposes to
annex to the City of El Monte, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939", certain territory hereinafter more fully described;
and,
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is uninhabited as
provided in Section 35303 of the Government Code, is contiguous to the City
of El Monte as provided in Section 35304.5 of said Government Code, and is not
part of any other municipal corporation; and,
UttSERSASf the annexation of said territory comes within the purview
of Section 35304.5 of said Government Code requiring the consent of the legis-
lative body of each city situated within three miles of the territory being
annexed; and,
WHEREAS, at least a portion of the territory hereinafter described
and proposed to be annexed to the City of J51 Monte is within three miles of
the boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park,
NOftf, THEREFORE, TOE CITY COUNCIL OF TOE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
HER£BY RESOLVE AS IDLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,
California, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939**,
as amended, and as required by Section 35304,5 of the Government Code, does
hereby consent to the annexation to the City of El Monte tfae territory bounded
and described as follows:
All that property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the southerly boundary of the City
of JE1 Monte, as same existed on January 15, 1957, said angle point
being located in the northerly line of Dodson Street. 60 feet in width, as
shown on map of Tract No. 9157, as per map recorded in Book 181, pages
38 and 39, of Maps, in the office of tfae County Recorder of said County,
distant easterly thereon 119.17 feet from the intersection thereof with
the westerly line of Lot 5 of Tract No» 565, as per map recorded in
Book 15, page 97, of Maps, in the office of said Recorder; thence
easterly along said boundary of the City of El Monte to an angle point

thence easterly folowing the northerly line of Dodson Street,
60 feet wide, as shown on map of said Tract No, 9157 and on
oap of Tract No* 10967, as per map recorded in Book 192,
pages 8 and 9, of Maps, in the office of said Recorder, to
the most westerly corner of the land described as Parcel 2
in the deed to the County of Los Angeles for Peck Road recorded
in Book 26676, page 454, of Official Records in the office of
said Recorder; thence northeasterly following the various courses
of the westerly line of Peck Road as described in the deeds recorded
in Book 26676, page 454, Book 26557, page 223, Book 26011, page 95,
and Book 26557, page 226, all of Official Records in the
office of said Recorder, to the northerly line of Lot 1 in
Block y of said Tract No. 10967; thence easterly in a direct
line to the northwesterly comer of Lot 2 of said Tract No* 565;
thence easterly in a direct line to the northeasterly
corner of the land described in the deed to Gaetano Fatigoni
and Fermo Caabianica, recorded in Book 48661, page 150, of
Official Records, in the office of said Recorder; thence souther-
ly in a direct line to the southeasterly corner of said last
mentioned land; thence westerly in a direct line to the south--
westerly corner of said last mentioned land; thence westerly in a
direct line to the southwesterly corner of the land described as
Parcel 2 in the deed to Fer«o Cambianica and Gaetano Fatigoni,
recorded in Book 38667, page 406, of Official Records, in the
office of said Recorder; thence southerly along the prolongation
of the westerly line of said last mentioned land to the northerly
line of the southerly 353 feet of said Lot 2, measured along a
line parallel with the westerly line of said Lot 2; thence westerly
along said last mentioned northerly line to the easterly line
of the westerly 57.96 feet of said Lot 2; thence northerly along
said easterly line to a line which is parallel with the southerly
line of said Lot 2 and passes through the most westerly corner
of the land described as Parcel 2 in the deed to the County of
Los Angeles for Peck Road recorded in Book 28812, page 325, of
Official Records, in the office of said Recorder; thence westerly
in a direct line to said last mentioned most westerly corner;
thence westerly along the southerly line of said Dodson Street
to a line which is parallel with the westerly line of said Lot 5
and passes through the point of beginning; thence northerly in a
direct line to the point of beginning*
SBCTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy of the same to be forwarded to the
City Clerk of the City of El Monte*
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park held on the
