A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP TOE
TO TOE ANNEXATION BY AND TO THE CITY OF
EL NCNTB OP CERTAIN UNINHABTCBD TERRITORY
WEREAS. the City Council of the City of El Monte proposes to annex
to the City of fil Monte, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939-. certain territory hereinafter more fully described? and.
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is uninhabited as
provided in Section 35303 of the Government Code, is contiguous to the City
of El Monte as provided in Section 35304.5 of said Government Code, and is not
part of any other municipal corporation; and,
KHEREAS, the annexation of said territory comes within the purview
of Section 35304,5 of said Government Code requiring the consent of the legis-
lative body of each city situated within three miles of the territory being
annexed; and,
WHEREAS, at least a portion of the territory hereinafter described
and proposed to be annexed to the City of El Monte is within three miles of the
boundaries of tee City of Baldwin Park,
NOW, TEffiREIORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS fOtZOMS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,
California, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939**.
as amended, and as required by Section 35304,5 of the Government Code, does
hereby consent to the annexation to the City of El Monte the territory bounded
and described as follows:
All that property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly prolongation of that
course of the easterly line of Central Avenue shown on map of Tract
No, 12233, as per map recorded in Book 232, pages 8 and 9, of Maps, in
the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, as having a
bearing of Norte 9" 23» 17" Vest and a length of 63,30 feet. with the
northerly boundary of the City of El Monte as same existed on May 6, 1957;
thence northerly along said southerly prolongation and along the easterly
lines of Central Avenue as shown on map of said Tract No, 12233 to the
southwesterly corner of Lot 2 in Block C" of said Tract No, 12233; thence
easterly along the southerly line of said Lot 2 to the westerly line of the
easterly 50 feet of said Lot 2; thence northerly along said westerly
line to the northerly line of said Lot 2; thence westerly along the
northerly line of said lot 2 and westerly prolongation thereof to the west-
erly line of Central Avenue, 60 feet wide, as described in tie deed

recorded in Book 24207, page 70, of Official Records, in the office
of said Recorder; thence southerly along said westerly line of Central
Avenue to the ost northerly corner of Lot 1 in Blodc W of said
Tract No. 12233; thence southerly, southwesterly and westerly along
the easterly, southeasterly and southerly boundary of said Lot 1 to
the southwesterly comer thereof; thence southerly along the southerly
prolongation of the westerly line of said Lot 1 to said northerly
boundary of the City of El Monte; thence easterly along said boundary
of the City of 21 Monte to the point of beginning*
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy of the saae to be forwarded to the
City Cleric of the City of Bl Monte.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park held on the 7th
day of October, 1957, by the affirmative wte of at least three Councilaen,
to wit:
