A RESOLUTION OF TOE CITY COUNCIL OF TOE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CONSENTING, PURSUANT
TO SECTION 35304.5 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE.
ID THE ANNEXATION BY AND TO IHE CITY OF
EL MONTE OP CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY.
WHHRBAS, the City Council of the City of El Monte proposes to annex
to the City of El Monte, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939", certain territory hereinafter more fully described? and,
HfiiEREAS, the Territory hereinafter described is uninhabited as
provided in Section 35303 of the Government Code, is contiguous to the City
of 1 Monte as provided in Section 35304.5 of said Government Code, and is not
part of any other municipal corporation; and,
WHEREAS, the annexation of said territory cones within the purview
of Section 35304.5 of said Government Code requiring the consent of tfae legis-
lative body of each city situated within three miles of the territory being
annexed; and,
MHEREAS, at least a portion of the territory hereinafter described
and proposed to be annexed to the City of El Monte is within three miles of the
boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park;
NOW, 1HEREFQRE, TOE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SBCIION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park.
California, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939",
as amended, and as required by Section 35304,5 of the Government Code, does
hereby consent to the annexation to the City of El Monte the territory bounded
and described as follows:
All that property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the easterly boundary of the
City of El Monte, as same existed on January 10, 1957, saidjpoint
of beginning being the intersection of the southerly line of Parcel 38
as shown on a Record of Survey Map filed in Book 39, page 39. of Record
of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, with
the westerly line of the easterly 30 feet of said Parcel 38; thence
southerly along the southerly prolongation of said westerly line to the
northerly line of Lot 15 of E. J» Baldwins Subdivision of Lots 15 to
20 and 29 to 35 Rancho San Francisquito, as per map recorded in Book
i page 86 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of said Recorder;
thence easterly along said northerly line to the northeasterly corner
of said lot 15; thence southerly along the easterly line of said Lot
15 to the easterly prolongation of the northerly line of Lot 1 in Block
A" of Tract No, 11053, as per map recorded in Book 194, pages 29 and
30, of Maps, in the office of said Recorder; thence westerly in a direct

line to the northeasterly corner of said Lot 1; thence southerly along
the straight line portion of the easterly line of said Lot 1, and pro-
longation thereof, to the westerly prolongation of the straight line
portion of the northerly line of Lot 7 in Block C" of said Tract No»
11053; thence easterly in a direct line to the northeasterly corner
of Lot 1 in Block C" of said Tract No. 11053; thence easterly in a
direct line to the northwesterly corner of Lot 29 of Tract No. 15785
as per map recorded in Book 363, pages 28 and 29, of Maps, in the
office of said Recorder; thence easterly following tile various courses
of the boundary of said Lot 29 to the northeasterly corner of Lot 27
of said Tract No, 15785; thence southerly and southeasterly along the
easterly and northeasterly lines of Lots 27 and 26 of said Tract No*
15785 to the most easterly corner of said Lot 26; thence southwested y
in a direct line to the most westerly corner of Lot 25 of said Tract
No. 15785; thence easterly in a direct line to the southeasterly corner
of Lot 24 of said Tract No, 15785; thence northerly in a direct line
to the southeasterly corner of Lot 11 of said Tract No, 15785; thence
westerly in a direct line to the southwesterly corner of Lot 14 of
said Tract No, 15785; thence westerly in a direct line to the south-
easterly corner of Lot 8 in Block B- of said Tract No, 11053; thence
westerly following the various courses of the boundary of said Lot 8
to the northwesterly corner of said tot 8; thence northerly along the
westerly line of Lot 7 in Block B" of said Tract No, 11053, a distance
of 225.08 feet, to an angle point in said last mentioned westerly line;
thence northerly in a straight line to the southerly feiminus of the
straight line portion of the westerly line of Lot 1 of Tract No. 8538,
as per map recorded in Book 170, pages 48 and 49, of Maps, in the office
of said Recorder; thence northerly in a direct line to the northwesterly
comer of said last mentioned Lot 1; thence westerly lOong the westerly
prolongation of the northerly line of said last mentioned Lot 1 to said
easterly boundary of the City of El Monte; thence southerly along said
boundary of the City of Bl Monte to the point of beginning,
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy of the same to be forwarded to the
City Clerk of the City of 1 Monte,
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park held on the
7th day of October, 1957, by the affirmative wte of at least three
Councilmen, to wits
