RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING
RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR LEGAL
HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID
CITY FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES
OF WORKMEN.

WHEREAS, this City Council has by its Resolution
No. 57-115 ordered certain work or Improvement, said work
or improvement being more particularly described in its
resolution of intention. Resolution No. 57-95^ d shown on
plans which include profiles and detailed drawings) designated
Plan and Profile No. 56-1" on file in the office of the City
Clerk of said city, and described in specifications designated
Specifications No. 56-1", also on file in the office of said
City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, this City Council by Resolution No. 57-116
has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages
in the locality in which said work is to be performed for each
craft or type of workman needed to execute the contract for
said work, and this City Council has ascertained the general
prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said
locality for each craft or type of workman needed to execute
said contract; and
WHEREAS, said rates do not correspond with the ap-
plicable wage rates established by collective bargaining agree-
ments and such rates as may have been predetermined for federal
public works, within the locality and in the nearest labor
market area under the terms of Section 1773 of the Labor Code,

re determination of said rates;
NOW, THEREFORE^ the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follows;
Section 1, That the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to
be performed for each craft or type of workman needed
to execute the contract for said work is determined
to be as follows, to wit;

All foremen not herein separately classified
shall be paid not less than 25 cents per hour more
than the hourly rate of the highest classification
over which he has supervision.
PROVIDED^ that one and one-half 1-1/2) times the
said prevailing rate of wages shall be paid for any working
time more than eight 8) hours during any one 1) calendar
day. Further provided, that two 2) times the said prevail-
ing rate of wages shall be paid for any working time on
Sundays and the seven 7) legal holidays, to wit: New Yearns
Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran^ Day,
Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas.
