RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WORK OR IMPROVE
MENT ORDERED BY RESOLUTION NO, 57-118
OF SAID CITY COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, this City Council, on the 4;fch day of
November, 1957^ duly adopted Resolution No. 57-118 order-
ing the following work to be done or improvement to be
made, to wit, all that certain work or Improvement described
in Resolution No, 57-101, duly adopted by this City Council
on the 7th day of October, 1957; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to and in accordance with said
Resolution No. 57-118, a notice Inviting sealed bids or pro-
posals for doing said work or improvement was duly published
and posted; and
WHEREAS, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M.,
December 2, 1957, at the Council Chambers of this City
Council, the time and place fixed for the opening of sealed
bids or proposals, all sealed bids or proposals for said
work which were delivered to the City Clerk were presented
to this City Council and, in open session, were publicly
opened, examined and declared;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follows;

1957 129 CC RESO¼òw @| ^ k Section 1. That this City Council does hereby
determine that the bid of A-l Contractors, Inc., a corpora-
tion, located at 2935 Sawpit Road, Monrovia, California, is
the lowest regular bid for said work of any responsible bidder
and that said bid is accompanied by a good and sufficient pro-
posal bond which is satisfactory to this City Council, and
this City Council does hereby award the contract for said
work to the above named bidder at the prices named in the
bid of said bidder,
Section 2. That all bids or proposals for said
work, other than the said lowest regular bid above accepted,
are hereby rejected and the City Clerk is directed to return
to each bidder whose bid is so rejected the check or bond
which accompanied his bid.
Section 3. Reference is made to said Resolution
No. 57-101 for a full and complete description of said work
and the grades at which the same shall be done, for a
description of the district which this City Council has
declared to be the district benefited by said work and to
be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, for a
description of the serial bonds to be issued to represent
unpaid assessments and for further particulars. The work and
all proceedings therefor are and shall be done and performed
under and in accordance with the Improvement Act of 1911,
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed
to publish twice in the SAN GABRIEL VALLEY TRIBUNE, a news-
paper of general circulation a notice of this award.

by law and shall be published in the manner required by
law.
