A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK CONSENTING, PURSUANT TO SECTION
35304.5 OF TOE GOVERNMENT CODE, TO THE ANNEXATION
BY AND TO 1HE CITY OF EL MONTE OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY.
tfllHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Monte proposes to annex
to the City of El Monte, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939", certain territory hereinafter more fully described; and,
WIEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is uninhabited as
provided in Section 35303 of the Government Code, is contiguous to the City
of El Monte as provided in Section 35304,5 of said Government Code, and is not
part of any other municipal corporation; and,
WHEREAS, the annexation of said territory comes within the purview
of Section 35304.5 of said Government Code requiring the consent of the legis-
lative body of each city situated within three miles of the territory being
annexed; and,
WHEREAS, at least a portion of the territory hereinafter described
and proposed to be annexed to the City of El Monte is within three miles of the
boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park;
NCW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OP 1HE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
TOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,
California, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939",
as amended, and as required by Section 35304,5 of the Government Code, does
hereby consent to the annexation to the City of El Monte the territory bounded
and described as follows:
All that property in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 13 of Tract No. 13665,
as per map recorded in Book 280, Page 50 of Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County, said northwest corner being a point on the boundary
of the City of El Monte as same existed on October 14, 1957; thence southerly
along the westerly line of said Lot 13 and its southerly prolongation to the
intersection of the easterly prolongation of the straight line portion of the
northerly line of Lot 21 of Tract No. 12040 as per map recorded in Book 224,

Page 14, of Maps, in the Office of said Recorder; thence westerly along said
last mentioned prolonged line and northerly line of said Lot 21 and its
westerly prolongation to the intersection of the southerly prolongation of
the straight line portion of the westerly line of Lot 23 of Tract No. 12153
as per map recorded in Book 266, Page 12 of Maps in the Office of said
Recorder; thence northerly along said last mentioned prolonged line to the
intersection of the eastetly prolongation of the straight line portion of the
southerly line of Lot 22 of said Tract No, 12153; thence westerly along said
last mentioned prolonged line and southerly line of said Lot 22 to the
southwest corner of said Lot 22; thence northerly in a direct line to the
northwest corner of Lot 21 of said Tract No. 12153; thence easterly in a direct
line to the northeast corner of Lot 21 of said Tract No. 12153; thence
easterly in a direct line to the northwest corner of Lot 24 of said Tract
No. 12153; thence southerly in a direct line to the southwest corner of
Lot 24 of said Tract No. 12153; thence easterly in a direct line to the
northeast corner of Lot 23 of said Tract No. 12153; thence easterly along
the northerly line of Lot 44 of said Tract No. 12153 to the intersection of
a line parallel with and 40 feet easterly measured at right angles from the
westetly line of said Lot 44; thence southerly along said parallel line to
the southerly line of Lot 44; thence easterly and following the various courses of the
boundary of said Lot 44 to an angle point in the boundary of file City of
El Monte, as same existed on October 14, 1957, said angle point being at the
intersection of the easteri. y line of said Lot 44 with the westerly prolongation
of-the northerly line of Lot 13 of said Tract No. 13665; thence easterly in a
direct line along the boundary of the City of El Monte to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy of the same to be forwarded to
the City Clerk of the City of El Monte.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at an adjourned
regular meeting of the City Council of Hie City of Baldwin Park held on the
30th day of December______, 19 57 by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, to wit;
AYES: Councilmen Bishop, Cole, Holmes, Stephens and Littlejohn
NOES: None
ABSENT: None \
