ance with the provisions of the Annexation er L'ninhal it^d Territory Act
of 1939 as set forth in Sections 33300 to 35325, inclusive, of the Govcin-
ment Code of the Stat^ of California,
SECTION 2. That the said Council's reasons for proposing to
initiate said annexation proceed ir^s, a^ aforesaid, arc as follows: That the
annexation of the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the
orderly growth of the city, provide the piopcr control of street layout,
drainage, sanitary sewer design and the proper land use in conformity witli
the overall zoning plan of said city.
SECTION 3, That said territory, which said Council proposes to
annex, as aforesaid, is hereby described and identified as Annexation No, 4",
and said territory includes, consists of, and is further described as all
that real property situate in the Ccunty of Los Angeles, State cf California,
described as follows:
Liej. at the most southwesterly corner of Lot 178 of Tract No. 20333;
thence southwesterly along the southeaster.! y boundary line of said tract
to the most southwesterly corner of Tot 185 of Tract No» 20533; thence
southeasterly along the easterly boundary of Tract 20533 a distance of
330.36*; thence northeasterly along the Northwesterly line of Puente
Avenue a distance of 222.74*; thence southeasterly along the easterly
line of land. Map Book 6, page 104» being Parallel with the Southwesterly
line of Francisquito Avenue a distance of 576*; thence Northeasterly along
a line that is parallel with the Southeasterly line of Puente Avenue a
distance of 300*; thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of
Francisquito Avenue a distance of 85,95*; thence Northeasterly along the
Northwesterly line of Tract No, 21521, as per Map Boo^ 573, pages 15 and 16,
if extended to the west line of Francisquito Avenue a distance of 60';
thence Northwesterly along the Southeasterly line of Francisquito Avenue
a distance of 820,41*; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line
of Tract 20533 if extended to the Southeasterly line of Frajicisquito
Avenue a distance of ISO.OO* to the point of beginning,
SECTION 4, That the City Administrative Officer of the City of
Baldwin Park is hereby authorized and directed to file with, and submit to
the Boundary Commission of the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
on behalf of the Council of the City of Baldwin Park, and in accordance
with, and for a report thereon by said Commission in accordance with the
provisions of Section 35002 of the Government Code of the State of California,
the said proposal of the Council of the City of Baldwin Park to initiate on
its own motion said proceedings to annex the hereinabovc described uninhabited
territory to the City of Baldwin Park.
