RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OP BALDWIN
PARK FAVORING THE CONTINUATION OP THE CALIFORNIA CADET
CORPS PROGRAM IN THE HIGH SCHOOLS OF THE STATE OF CALI-
FORNIA.
WHEREAS, there is presently in effect in the High School
System of the State of California th^ California Cadet Corps
program, and
WHEREAS, the program costs $27.39 per year per cadet in
comparison to the cost of $3000.00 per year to maintain a boy
in the Preston School of Industry, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park be-
lieves that the California Cadet Corps should be continued,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP BALDWIN
PARK DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION i: It is in favor of the continuation of the
California Cadet Corps program in the High Schools of this
State, and the program should not be discontinued.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park
is directed to forward certified copies of this Resolution
to the following:
1. Senate Finance Committee and Sub Committee
Senate Military and Veterans Affairs Committee
2. Assembly Ways and Means Committee and Sub Committee
Assembly Military Affairs Committee
3. Individual Senators, Nelson S. Dilsworth, Richard
Richards
4. Individual Assemblymen, Ernest R. Geddes, Thomas M.
Erwin.
